What is it???

Yesterday we got the good news... ready for the drumrollllllllllll
IT'S A BOY!! We are so excited to have a new little addition that now has a gender he's not an "it" anymore. hooray Blue it is.

Wicked

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have an obsession with Wicked the broadway play, and I've never seen it until this week! and I must say AMAZING!!! Truly Amazing, and was on the edge of my seat the WHOLE entire time.... Defying gravity totally gave me chills I loved every second of it! And when it ended I wanted it to start all over again. So yeah I would recommend it to everyone if you get a chance.

Spring Break

For Spring Break we decided to go to New Mexico for a change of scenery... Great timing because my cousin Ashley and Scott were there at the same time visiting some of their friends so we got to play a little with them. We got some shopping done of course, and we got to relax a bit too. The boys new hobby is pot gut shooting so they went and here is some of their (gross) souveniers. It was a great trip thanks Kim and Frank for always making it fun for us to visit.

Easter

Easter was lots of fun... we went to the annual Bennion Easter egg hunt party. there we had yummy subway sandwiches and salads, the kids got to color easter eggs and then went out in the front yard to find their special easter eggs. Kate did great she's such a big girl now which is so much fun. here's some cute shots of that day.
Then sunday morning Kate woke up to this trail of eggs leading her to a treasure hunt so she could eventually find her special easter basket.... In her basket is a Cinderella polly pocket doll and she still hasn't put that thing down... she absolutely loves to play with those and dress them over and over again. Easter sunday was fun especially to see all of the cute little kids all dolled up in their new clothes and hair done so cute. Kate got to wear her cute bunny bow that aunt Julie Jensen made... and I must say it was a hit. So thanks again Julie.

Gotta get to the temple

Conference was great.. I have a new resolve to get to the temple more often since I could walk to it I should make it a weekly habit.

You could have given me the world

So it's a little late getting here to the blog but I had a wonderful Birthday....not to sound pessimistic or anything but I didn't really have big or any expectations for the day this year... I was totally satisfied with WHATEVER even if that meant nothing as far as surprises, outings, etc... (maybe that neutral attitude comes with pregnancy... yep I'm sure it does) anyway, so I got up and took Ryan to school, then came home and got Kate some breakfast or as she would call it "Deen-r" (dinner). But when I went to open the fridge there was a cute card with a dvd attached all wrapped up in a cute bow, Ryan had put it there cuz he knew I would find it. The dvd was Twighlight of course and we were able to watch it together when he got home from his night class. That was great. ( I love the thought...it truly is the thought that counts for me) anyway I loved it, he surprised me and to tell you the truth he could have put a sticky note to the carton of milk that said "I love you" and it totally would have had the same effect....or he could have given me the world and I would have been just as thrilled. Thanks Ryan for all your sweetness.

I also was able to go and have a fun lunch that afternoon with my sisters and my mom at Jenni's house and she made us a delicious soup and lettuce wraps... and we had yummy oatmeal cookies. Of course we sat a chatted for a good chunk of the day about our lives and we laughed and cried...It's definitely becoming part of the lunch routine with them and I love it. It's great to have each other.

I will say that one of my favorite parts of the day was when Kate and I were driving in the car and out of nowhere Kate said from the back seat " oh Happy birthday mom" and then went on and kept playing. --the night before Ryan had told her to sing happy birthday to me the next day and i guess she remembered-- I need to give her more credit for what she can understand and process at this age (2 1/2). Anyway it was adorable... oh one other thing that is irrelevant but cute was when we got to Jenni's we got out of the car and their dog Chevy is always there to greet you, so I got Kate out of the car and she said in the sweetest voice " oh hi chevers....kissy kissy". Very cute

Well I was definitely given the world for my birthday and I have some other fun things coming up too...that are birthday gifts, I went to dinner with Ryan a few nights later at Good Wood, and in a few weeks I get to go see Wicked and if you know me you'll know that that has been a long awaited want of mine, so I finally get to see it hooray!
