I have to share my rendition of "If You Could Hie To Kolob..." It seems appropriate for this situation! There is no end to laundry, there is no end to goop... There is no end to dishes, there is no end to poop. There is no end to cleaning, there is no end to grime. There is no end to messes, there is no end to slime. I sing this when I clean house.
RACHEE!! What's happening!!!??? If you didn't remember, my name is Joe Tuiaana and I, uhh, used to be kind of buds with you, and uhh, anyways...your daughter is "so beauty" (samoan fob)! Drop by our blog sometime!
Sometimes I feel a little like Dorothy trying to get to the Emerald city, and ultimately back home.
"Follow the Yellow brick road"
She was told, and she would get there. While the directions seemed so simple, she kept coming across little forks in the road and obstacles, that threw her off, and tried to stop her from achieving her goal (getting back home).
And so it is with my life (and I'm hoping your life too), it's why we're here right? To learn from our trials, and get back home.
So as I work my way towards "The Emerald City" (or my eternal goal) I find myself sometimes bogged down with the nonsense and unimportant things in life and it's good to close my eyes every now and then, click my heels together and remember that:
"There's no place like home"
And for a moment I get a glimpse of the big picture and am reminded of our goal that we as a family are after. Each year I want to compile my blog posts into a memory book so we can look through and remember that there truly is no place like home.
