Ryan! Word up, dog boy. I didn't know you were married or had a baby! Your family is so cute. Good to hear what's happening in your life. I can't believe you teach third grade. I want to send my kids to your school when they are in the third grade. Rock on! -Ann
Sometimes I feel a little like Dorothy trying to get to the Emerald city, and ultimately back home.
"Follow the Yellow brick road"
She was told, and she would get there. While the directions seemed so simple, she kept coming across little forks in the road and obstacles, that threw her off, and tried to stop her from achieving her goal (getting back home).
And so it is with my life (and I'm hoping your life too), it's why we're here right? To learn from our trials, and get back home.
So as I work my way towards "The Emerald City" (or my eternal goal) I find myself sometimes bogged down with the nonsense and unimportant things in life and it's good to close my eyes every now and then, click my heels together and remember that:
"There's no place like home"
And for a moment I get a glimpse of the big picture and am reminded of our goal that we as a family are after. Each year I want to compile my blog posts into a memory book so we can look through and remember that there truly is no place like home.
