- Sometimes I feel a little like Dorothy trying to get to the Emerald city, and ultimately back home. "Follow the Yellow brick road" She was told, and she would get there. While the directions seemed so simple, she kept coming across little forks in the road and obstacles,that threw her off, and tried to stop her from achieving her goal (getting back home). And so it is with my life (and I'm hoping your life too), it's why we're here right? To learn from our trials, and get back home. So as I work my way towards "The Emerald City" (or my eternal goal) I find myself sometimes bogged down with the nonsense and unimportant things in life and it's good to close my eyes every now and then, click my heels together and remember that: "There's no place like home" And for a moment I get a glimpse of the big picture and am reminded of our goal that we as a family are after. Each year I want to compile my blog posts into a memory book so we can look through and remember that there truly is no place like home.
Truly the JOY of our lives!!!

Hey Rachel... these are really funny. Don't worry... I think you are WAY cuter than Tori Spelling!! :) Thanks so much for letting us come play with you last week. You and Ryan are such a hoot... I thought you were going to put me into early labor. We had a great time, and it was fun to finally get to know you a little better. Nathan never knew Sam and Ryan that well either, so it was nice for him to see that they really are COOL GUYS! (The coolest things about them are their wives, of course!!) But thanks again! Hopefully we can have a treat get-together during Christmas?????

I think she is much cuter than Britney! Those things don't ever seem too accurate on babies-but you an Ryan's seem to be a little closer :)
