So , does this format of picture look familiar to anyone? Of course it does! I think everyone has had a shadow picture taken of them. So for the flashback today I just wanted us all to reminisce perhaps go and look through our old photo albums and enjoy the memories and cute pictures of our lives. This is my cute husband Ryan when he was in kindergarten, now I know where my little Kate gets her adorable qualities.
Here's another picture of Ryan. While talking to Kim, Ryan's mom, I found out that Ryan as a kid was so good and just entertained himself for hours playing legos or building forts in the woods behind their house. He was also very sensitive to his mother. He knew when she had "had it", reached her breaking point, needed a time-out.... whatever you want to call it, those of us that are mothers can relate. Anyway even as a young child Ryan recognized when his mom had reached her limit and was kind and sensitive..... By the way, nothing has changed! he is the same way with me and i love him for that. Heaven knows I need someone who is patient and recognizes when I need a break.... So thanks lover and I still and always will adore you.

Go BYU!!!
So Ryan and I are not what you would call sports fanatics by any means, but an occasional basketball game keeps us among the living. Actually that is something we really like to do together, we went to the BYU games when we were dating, any chance we got to take my dad's tickets we did. And so last night we were able to go to the BYU vs. Utah game. It was so much fun! it felt like old times sort of. Plus it was fun cuz BYU won. Anyway that was a fun date for us and thanks again to my dad, and Sam and Ginny for babysitting. we are going to owe you big when you have kids.

Look at what my wonderful husband had delivered to me today! Especially after this week it is so nice to look up and see a beautiful bouquet of flowers there. Thanks again Ryan, you really made my valentines day! I couldn't have asked for more!

back in bed.
Lovely... we are all sick again! I feel like all of my posts have to do with us being sick. Anyway, Ryan and kate got the Flu and were throwing up etc... but I think they are on the up-swing of things. I have some sort of cold but it is totally knocking me out. I am a wimp that's for sure. I am basically trying to figure out what we are doing wrong so that we can get out of this "sick" cycle. (Sorry, I'm mostly just venting)

4 day seminar
We were able to spend 4 days together with friends and family at what is called the Dreamakers academy. It was an intense training workshop teaching us how to live our dreams and "ignite the light within" the seminar was so awesome! it gave us tools to communicate with others effectively whether that is in your work relationships, family, including kids, or with your spouse. Already Ryan and I are using the tools with each other so that we can understand where the other person is coming from and it is very interesting how differently we interpret one sentence.
Anyway here are some pictures of people that were there with us. I didn't get a picture of Jeremy or Aubrey(Jared's Fiance) but here is Ryan and I Mom and Matt Sparks, Ashley and Scott, Katie and Chad, Rita and Jason, and Chris Collett.

Flashback Friday...Clue
So I'm realizing that I am embarrassing myself everytime I do a flashback but maybe I like to embarrass others who might read my blog. (Ashley) Anyway, this week I'm am flashback"ing" my elementary school days and things we did during the weekends and summer breaks to entertain ourselves. My cousins and I were pretty close growing up, they were the ones that I "played" with or hung out with. Specifically Ashley and Kerry but in this instance it was Janelle and Ashley.
One particular summer we were obsessed with the movie clue and we decided to make our own version of it, so we made a movie and the three of us played all 7 or 8 characters. It was intense! I think we only got through maybe the first 3 or four scenes because we wanted it to be perfect so we kept re-doing it. And I guess either school started or we got bored and gave up on the rest of the movie but man those first 4 scenes were amazing:)
Anyway, this particular picture shows us as our 3 main characters. (left to right) Ashley is Yvette the maid, Rachel (I) am Mrs. White, and Janelle Is the butler I think. Good times, we had tonz of fun doing it. I hope Kate likes to do stuff like that cuz it was a lot of fun.

Julie's baptism
My mom, Mandy, and I rode together to go to Enoch (Cedar City) to see my niece baptized, it was a nice time there and felt almost like old times. After the baptism we went to my brother Doug and Jenni's house shown in this picture and we had food and cake and ice cream for the baptism. I also had a great time in the car with my mom and sister chatting and singing.

The Roberts kids
Here are the kids I babysat for the week while my sister Jenni and Ramon were in Samoa. This is Randy, he is 12 going on 23, he's very mature for his age and very fun to be with. I might add that he is THE champion at boxing on the wii. I challenge anyone to go against him, he will beat you.
This is Lindsey she is 10 yrs old and she is the helper of the family you can leave anything to her and she will get it done or figure out a way to.
This is Cami, 8 yrs old. Cami is the joker of the family you can totally see it in her face in this picture, she loves to laugh and she loved cheering Kate up when she was sad, another thing Cami does is listen to one song over and over till she knows it by heart, so the week I was there she listened to Elliot Yamin Baby I will wait for you. Needless to say I know that cd backwards and forwards. goo thing I like Elliot.
This is Joshua he is 3, and he is such a good boy. he was very brave the whole time Jenni and Ramon were gone he hardly cried even when Kate was growling and swatting at him. He can hold his own. The funniest thing he did was when I asked him to do something he would humph and say "fine" in a mopey sort of way it was so cute.

Winter...
So For the last 4 years I have literally hated and dreaded winter, it's just been foggy, cold, boring, and more cold. But for some reason this year I don't know if it is because of the amount of snow we are receiving and it makes me feel like a kid again or what, but I am loving this winter! It has actually caught me by surprise because I was basically planning 0n going into this 4-5 month depression till spring came again but pleasantly I love to see it snowing outside, I think it is so beautiful. i feel blessed to live in a place that has all 4 seasons.
