We went to Boyz II Men at the scera shell last night and I have to say it was one of the funnest concerts I have been to (Back street boys is up there on the list) But it was tonz of fun. We went with our bishop and his wife and laughed most of the night, they are so cool, so it was fun to get to know them a little too. Anyway Great time.. I recommend it.

Timp Cave...
Yesterday for Kate's birthday, I didn't want to just stay home alone and do nothing, so we decided to go with Ryan's fifth grade class on their field trip to Timpanogos cave, I thought we would be able to go up with the stroller but apparently you can't take strollers up. so I carried her the whole way up, through the cave and down.... yeah my arm is a little sore today. Anyway it was totally worth it cuz she was so cute and happy and plus it was her birthday so (whatever that means). So here are some pictures of the fun. Oh this picture with the kids gathered around was so cute, they all wanted to be around Kate but she has space issues so she kept freaking out when anyone would get close, and she just wanted to jump and dance on the ground, so all the kids were watching her dance and jump and any time she would do anything they would all cheer, you know she was loving that attention. It was a good time.

Happy Birthday Kate!
Happy Birthday Kate,
2 years ago yesterday our life truly began, we thought we knew what joy was but we were wrong, our lives are so rich and blessed because you have come to fill it up with your cuteness, funnyness, sillyness, and love. your cute little prayers that you help us say, your sweet little kisses, your amazing ability to catch on to things so quickly, your dances, your little voice and the list goes on and on. We are SO happy to have you in our lives, just know that we love you forever and ever, even when you're 16.
Love, Mom and Dad

So....you think you can Dance huh?
Here I am just chillin with my "So you think you can dance" friends.... Gev and Matt...
We went to the Scera's show of Dancing under the Stars, and it was fantastic! Chelsea, Gev and Matt were there, Ashley Delgrosso from dancing with the stars was there also many many other dancers that we've either seen on tv or in concerts. I loved it. Kate was glued the whole time unless she had to go potty which she did and actually went 5 times during the show.... I was freaking out cuz she actually went so I think it's safe to say that we can venture out of the house now wahoo....
Anyway that was definitely a show that i'm glad we didn't miss... very impressive live instead of just watching it on TV. And I have to say that Utah has some pretty great talent.

Potty update...
As long as we are home Kate does wonderful, she tells us when she needs to go potty, and just today we have graduated from the little port-o-potty, to the big potty (with her seat of course, so she doesn't fall in) We are still working on the panties, but one step at a time is how I like it. Yea! Go Kate!!

You know it's time to vacume when...
you know it's time to vacume when your 2 year old walks on the kitchen floor with barefeet and grabs her foot and says "shoes mom" " shoes mom".
Well school just started for Ryan and I have to say the we love having him all summer but unfortunately we don't get much cleaning or mopping done. It's mostly play. so the floors, the bathroom, the laundry, the dishes, etc.. have been neglected. So today i have dedicated my day to the cleaning and I must say, now that I'm done ( at least for the day--the cleaning is never done--)I feel back to myself, I feel like I can take a breath and sit down to catch up on all the reading I've been missing out on. like breaking dawn of course, my family's heritage book that my mom gave me, and drawing on the powers of heaven, oh and prepare my lesson for sunday. it's a lot but that's the stuff I like doing. I said to Ryan the other night, If only there were 6 or so more hours in the day. oh well.

first race
I did it!! I completed my first race.... the provo river 1/2 marathon and I did better than I thought....I thought they would be cleaning up and I would still be running but there were actually people still behind me. 2:35 was my time, not great but not bad I thought....It was a beautiful run, the scenery and temperature was great, and the best part was that I got to run it or at least parts of it with Mandy (sis) Brian (her husband) and lisa (Mandy's high school friend). Anyway great experience and one step closer to St. George in October for the marathon....So I at least know what to expect now for a race. fun fun fun!

Owwweeee!
Kate's first major oweee! It was one of those that as a parent you cringe cuz you know it hurts and there's not a whole lot you can do about it except give em a sucker or something. We went to pick Ryan up at the school and she walked behind the big heavy school door without Ryan noticing and he pulled the door open fast cuz it's so heavy and her toes went right under it , it took of the big toenail and just bled and bled oh i feel so bad for her, but once we got it all bandaged up and some tylenol in her she did great.

How does a Dinosaur say goodnight?
This is working wonders in the big girl bed sleeping department. I read this cute book to kate and it talks about How a dinosaur says goodnight and it explains all the tantrums that a dinosaurs could throw but at the end the dinosaur just gives hugs and kisses and whispers goodnight, and Kate loves it, she doesn't throw a fit like the naughty dinosaurs.
